Security solutions company Fortinet Korea announced on the 13th that it has updated its OT (operational technology) security platform.

This update is designed to protect critical infrastructure and industrial sites from cyber threats.

The new Fortinet OT security platform builds on FortiGuard OT security services to deliver OT-specific threat visibility. It also includes an expanded solution that supports segmentation and 5G in harsh environments, and an OT security operations portfolio that supports automated threat response and compliance tracking.

“FortiGate has been building OT security platforms for over 20 years,” said Nirav Shah, senior vice president of products and solutions at Fortinet. “We are committed to providing comprehensive security solutions optimized for OT environments.”

With this update, the Fortinet OT security platform includes the following key features: △FortiGate Rugged NGFW with FortiGuard OT security service update reflected, △FortiSwitch Rugged 108F and FortiSwitch Rugged 112F-POE that ensure secure segmentation, △FortiExtender Rugged 511G, an IP67-rated 5G wireless WAN gateway, and △AI-based security operations (SecOps).

Fortinet OT Security Platform is widely adopted by global companies seeking to seamlessly integrate IT and OT security, it said. Fortinet announced that it is strengthening its market leadership by being recognized as a leader in the Westlands Advisory 2023 IT/OT Network Protection Platform Navigator.

Meanwhile, Fortinet Korea will hold the 'OT Security Summit Korea' webinar for three days from Tuesday, April 8 to Thursday, April 10 to share insights on OT security.
