Help with business strategy income in finance and accounting
A forum was set up to share the outlook for innovation in financial accounting work due to AI and its impact on auditing, presenting AI-based innovation in financial accounting and purchasing processes.
SAP Korea (CEO Shin Eun-young) held a seminar on the 19th and 20th to understand the impact of AI on business and learn about various cases.
First, on the 19th, 'SAP Concur Day' was held for finance and accounting staff. With the theme of 'innovation', 'efficiency', 'flexibility', and 'controllability', this SAP Concur Day included external lectures on the prospects for innovation in finance and accounting work due to AI and the impact of big data and AI on auditing, along with a presentation on Seegene's global business operation customer case using SAP Concur.
Attendees expressed high satisfaction, saying that it provided an opportunity to track changes in the finance and accounting fields and establish new business strategies.
On the 20th, a seminar titled ‘AI-based purchasing process innovation (SAP Spend Connect Innovation Day)’ was held for executives and employees in the purchasing department. This seminar, themed 'Latest Purchasing Trends and AI-based Cost-Saving Purchasing Process', featured various sessions covering important topics in the purchasing business.
Starting with a presentation titled ‘Purchase Innovation in the Era of Hyper-Uncertainty’ by Cho Hyo-sang, Executive Director of Samjeong KPMG, the event included a customer case session that explored real-life cases of building a purchasing process using SAP ERP and SAP Ariba, as well as various demos and case presentations, allowing attendees to easily understand the impact of AI on the entire purchasing process.
In particular, the seminar on the 20th also had a session where participants could experience reverse auctions on-site using SAP Ariba's unique functions, which drew a lot of attention. In a reverse auction session based on recent case studies, attendees were able to experience how to maximize cost savings by executing category strategies.
“As uncertainty is increasing due to various external factors, a flexible and sustainable purchasing process built using AI is essential,” said Kang Ji-hoon, head of Spend Management (Ariba/Concur) at SAP Korea. “I hope that this seminar, which introduced various actual user experiences using SAP’s solutions, will serve as an opportunity for domestic companies to draw a blueprint for an innovative purchasing process and, further, to take an interest in the AI transition.”
Meanwhile, SAP is leading the way in business innovation in the AI era by introducing Business AI across its enterprise solutions.
At SAP's annual conference 'SAP Sapphire' held in Orlando, Florida, USA on the 4th (local time), various AI solutions that will bring about innovative changes to the overall way of working were introduced and partnerships with various companies were announced, showing a strong will for AI innovation.
