Recently, with the rapid development of generative AI technology, AI-based learning methods are attracting attention in the education industry. In particular, the DeepSeek-R1 model released in January is evaluated as an AI that improves logical reasoning and mathematical thinking skills, and the practicality of AI-based education is being highlighted.
In this flow, DNSoft announced on the 27th that it will release 'Algong Math', an elementary math courseware that allows students to learn concepts and expand their thinking skills through conversations with AI.
'Algong Math' is designed to be applied to full-scale classes for 3rd to 6th graders starting from the new semester in March.
■ Interactive learning tools to help you understand concepts Unlike existing AI learning programs, 'Algong Math' is designed so that students can expand concepts by conversing with AI in natural language. For example, if a student has difficulty understanding the concept of dividing fractions, the AI asks questions and provides feedback to guide the student through the concept step by step.
Additionally, AI automatically generates personalized word problems to provide students with optimal problems suited to their level and learning style. This allows teachers to more easily understand each student's learning level and provide customized instruction.
■ Increased class effectiveness through digital parish integration Existing math learning often relies on teachers' explanations on the blackboard or standardized problem solving. However, 'Algong Math' uses digital teaching aids to support students to directly manipulate and explore concepts. For example, when learning about shape rotation or ratio concepts, students learn the concepts by moving shapes directly.
In addition, AI analyzes the student's learning progress data and provides real-time feedback on which concepts need to be supplemented. Teachers can use the AI LMS system to check individual student learning data and conduct customized classes.
■ Ease of introduction to public education and proven learning effects 'Algong' obtained the 'Digital Service Utilization Support System' certification from the Ministry of Science and ICT in 2024 and was registered in the Public Procurement Service's Digital Service Mall, making it easier to introduce into public education.
He also emphasized that its reliability has been proven through winning the Grand Prize in Proven R&D from the Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS), AI digital textbook SaaS certification, and learning effectiveness certification from the Korean Society for Elementary English Education. Through this, the introduction process for ‘Algong Mathematics’ has been simplified, and public institutions can also purchase and contract with it.
Kim Sung-soo, CEO of DNSoft, said, “If existing AI-based math education was limited to simple problem solving, ‘Algong Math’ is a new method that derives concepts and helps understanding through conversations with AI.” He added, “By combining AI technology and digital teaching aids, we will assist teachers in their classes and more effectively support students’ learning experiences.”
Meanwhile, to celebrate its launch, 'Algong Math' will provide a free trial service for elementary school teachers starting in March.
