Samsung Research President Seung Hyun-jun, who hosted the conference, mentioned the 'BESOPKE' refrigerator as the first example, which allows users to choose the product type and color they need according to their personal taste and living space, and announced that a four-door type BESOPKE refrigerator will be introduced in North America this spring.

In the case of TV, one of the products most closely related to people's daily lives, Samsung explained how it takes into consideration the tendencies of different consumers by unveiling 'The Frame', which allows you to create your own gallery, and 'The Premiere', which allows you to create your own large-scale home cinema.

It provides customized diets and recipes that take into account individual eating habits, and allows users to order necessary ingredients online through the screen of the 'Family Hub' refrigerator or a mobile device. It also automatically transmits cooking mode, time, temperature, etc. according to the recipe selected by the user to the Samsung Smart Oven. This service is scheduled to be introduced first in Korea and the US within the first quarter of this year.

Samsung Health for Smart TV is a service that provides a variety of high-definition home training content, including stretching, strength training, yoga, and meditation. Through the 'Smart Trainer' function, users can check their posture accuracy, number of movements, and calorie consumption by viewing themselves exercising through a USB camera connected to the TV.

President Seung Hyun-jun explained that AI technology has already been applied to Samsung Electronics products. Samsung TVs optimize the image quality to 4K or 8K regardless of the resolution of the input video through deep learning, and analyze the lighting, sound reflection, and noise of the space in which they are installed to provide optimal sound. The 'Grande AI' washing machine and dryer continuously learn the consumer's washing habits to perform optimal washing and drying.

◇ Robots, the pinnacle of AI-based personalized services

Samsung Electronics unveiled the 'Samsung Jetbot AI' for the first time. Jetbot AI is an AI robot vacuum cleaner equipped with the Intel® Movidius™ solution.

With improved object recognition technology, it identifies and classifies surrounding objects on its own and finds the optimal cleaning path to drive autonomously. Using AI solutions, LiDAR sensors, and 3D sensors, it can even identify small obstacles, avoiding fragile items, wires, socks, pet waste, etc. while cleaning.

The 'SmartThings Pet' service was also released. This service is a pet care service that utilizes Jetbot AI's camera and sensors, and allows you to remotely check your pet's video. It is also possible to play customized music content or remotely control air conditioners, air purifiers, etc. to provide a pleasant environment. The two services are scheduled to be introduced first in Korea and the United States in the first half of the year.

Samsung Electronics also unveiled a robot it is researching. First, the 'Samsung Bot™ Handy' is being unveiled for the first time at this event. It is a future home service robot that can recognize the location and shape of objects and grab or move them, and help with various household tasks such as setting the table and organizing dishes.

An improved version of 'Samsung Bot™ Care', first unveiled at CES 2019, was also introduced. In addition to existing elderly care, the new Samsung Bot Care expands its scope to include various family members, providing personalized services such as schedule management, healthcare, education, and video meetings.

Samsung Smart TV has been recognized for its accessibility, winning the 'Best Innovation Award' at CES 2021 for its 'Sign Language Auto-Zoom Service' and the 'Innovation Award' at CES 2018 for its 'SeeColors' correction app for color vision deficiencies. Neo QLED and new QLED products launched this year will feature solar cell remote controls that charge with sunlight or indoor lighting and use recycled plastic, contributing to reducing greenhouse gases.

The 'Galaxy Upcycling at Home' program related to wireless products was also introduced. Galaxy terminals will be reborn as IoT devices controlled by the SmartThings app, so that they can be used as smart monitoring devices in homes where necessary, such as by detecting a baby's crying and receiving a notification, or by detecting the movement of a pet that is left alone and remotely turning on the living room lights.
