Samsung Electronics' 'SmartThings Station' unveiled at CES makes smart home functions easier to use.

Samsung Electronics will unveil the 'SmartThings Station' at the electronics show 'CES 2023' held in Las Vegas, USA from the 5th to the 8th (local time).

Samsung Electronics' SmartThings app allows connection to various products that support Matter, the latest IoT communication standard.

Users can add devices to the SmartThings app by scanning the QR code of products that support Matter with their Galaxy smartphone camera, and control various products such as connected smart TVs, washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, lights, curtains, and power outlets.

You can also set up a 'routine' function that will automatically operate according to your situation. Users can link the SmartThings app on their Galaxy smartphones with the SmartThings Station product to execute routines with a single button press. Even if the user goes out with the linked smartphone, family members who remain at home can continue to use the preset routines with the press of a button without the smartphone.

The SmartThings Station also features a wireless charging pad function.

It supports wireless charging up to 15W, and users can charge Galaxy smartphones and Galaxy Buds series. You can also set wireless charging and preset routines to run simultaneously.

It also supports ‘SmartThings Find’, a Galaxy device location confirmation service.

When users can't find their smartphones at home, they can easily find their location by making the smartphones emit a sound. Applies only to Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

The 'SmartThings Station', which will be released this month, will be released in two colors, black and white. The price is 129,000 won.

Samsung Electronics Device Platform Center Vice President Jae-yeon Jeong said, “SmartThings Station is a product developed so that anyone can easily experience a smart home,” and “We expect SmartThings Station to play a key role in ensuring smooth connection between various devices in the continuously growing smart home market.”
