LG Electronics is releasing the new 2024 'LG Gram Pro' equipped with the latest AI processor. This model is equipped with an Intel® Core™ Ultra CPU to provide AI calculations without a network connection, while maintaining the identity of an ultra-light notebook with a thinner thickness than last year's model.

LG Electronics announced that it will release the 'LG Gram Pro' and 'LG Gram Pro 360'. Following the limited sale of a total of 1,000 units from the 18th to the 29th, it will be officially announced during the 2024 LG Gram Unpacked Live broadcast at 8 PM on January 2nd. From January 2nd to 15th, pre-orders for the 2024 LG Gram Program/Gram general models will be available at LG Electronics' online brand shop (LGE.COM).

LG Electronics IT Business Division Head Lee Yoon-seok said, “We will provide the optimal user experience to customers who want high performance without compromising portability, led by the LG Gram Pro, our top-of-the-line Gram lineup with enhanced AI performance.”

LG Electronics plans to launch a total of eight Gram lineups, including the 2024 LG Gram general models (17/16/15/14 inches) equipped with the latest processor and the LG Gram 360 general model.

LG Electronics said, “Unlike the previous models, we redesigned the internals of this new product.” Thanks to this, it maintained high performance while remaining light. The LG Gram Pro (based on the 16-inch integrated graphics model) is 12.4 mm thick, which is about 21% less than the 2023 LG Gram (15.7 mm). It weighs 1,199 g.

The 2024 LG Gram Pro 360 (model number: 16T90SP) is 12.4 mm thick and weighs 1,399 g. It is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the lightest 15.6-inch (16-inch by Guinness standards) two-in-one laptop available. It can also be used as a large-screen tablet when folded by minimizing the play.

Prices vary depending on detailed specifications such as display size, graphics card, and memory. The LG Gram Pro is priced from 2.54 million won to 3.34 million won, and the LG Gram Pro 360 is priced from 2.74 million won to 3.19 million won.

The Intel® Core™ Ultra CPU equipped in the LG Gram Pro is the first Intel chip to have a semiconductor neural processing unit (NPU) specialized in artificial intelligence calculations, the Intel® AI Boost. This enables on-device AI, enabling self-AI calculations without a network connection. For example, it analyzes photos and automatically classifies them into 38 categories, including people, places, and dates.

In particular, LG Electronics has also strengthened connectivity by adding the 'AI Gram Link' function to its products. Up to 10 Android and iOS devices can exchange files such as photos in both directions, share screens, and save files directly to a PC. When connected to smartphones, tablets, etc., operation is possible with a laptop keyboard and mouse.

The LG Gram Pro Ultra 7's built-in graphics performance has been doubled compared to previous products. Additionally, some models are equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 3050 Laptop GPU external graphics card to realize even better on-device AI performance. It is explained that high-spec games can be implemented smoothly and 5 images can be created per second using the AI image generation program 'Stable Diffusion'.

LG Electronics also added that it has improved power efficiency by applying Foveros 3D packaging technology.

■ Reduced thickness compared to previous models… Continuing the reputation of ultra-light notebooks

The LG Gram Pro is equipped with a WQXGA (2,560 X 1,600) high-resolution display, and in particular, it supports a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz to smoothly display game screens with fast screen transitions without any interruption. In particular, the LG Gram Pro 360 is specialized for design work such as drawing by applying an OLED touch display.

The heat control system has been further expanded. The number of cooling fans has been increased from one to two, allowing for more even and faster circulation of air inside, and the area of the heat pipes that dissipate heat has also been increased by up to 58%.

The dedicated stylus pen has a faster response speed and a better writing feel, and can also be magnetically attached to the main body for wireless charging.
