■ On-device AI experience available starting with Galaxy Book 4 The main features of the 'Galaxy Book 4 Series' include: △high-resolution touch display △enhanced connectivity between notebook PCs, smartphones, and tablets △on-device AI experience △enhanced security performance, etc.
The notable parts of this Galaxy Book 4 series are the intelligent processor and security. It is equipped with the 'Intel® Core™ Ultra Processor'. The Intel® Core™ Ultra Processor has a 3D performance hybrid architecture that combines two core microarchitectures in a single processor chip.
Intel® Core™ Ultra processors offer three dedicated engines (CPU, GPU, NPU). NPU supports ML/AI performance and improves power efficiency and task speed across the board. The built-in 'Intel® Arc™' GPU supports AI for game play and advanced content creation. 'Intel Boost (Intel® AI Boost)' is an integrated AI engine for low-power AI acceleration and CPU/GPU offload. Integrated 'Thunderbolt™ 4' technology provides powerful wireless performance and supports smooth, immersive online gameplay.
Samsung Electronics said, “The built-in NPU smoothly implements various AI functions of about 100 applications currently in service, including games, videos, and video editing, thereby increasing productivity.”
In addition, the 'Galaxy Book4 Ultra' is equipped with the 'NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series (NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4070/4050)' external graphics card for notebook PCs, which supports high-performance functions such as high-spec games and graphic work more smoothly.
The Galaxy Book 4 series is the first in the Galaxy Book series to feature a physically separate 'Samsung Knox' security chipset. Samsung Knox has been added to the Galaxy Book's security system, which was previously built through collaboration with Intel and Microsoft, to provide even more robust security performance.
■ Galaxy Book can be used like a smartphone… Equipped with a touch display for all lineups The 'Galaxy Book 4 Series' is equipped with a high-resolution Dynamic AMOLED 2X touch display, providing upgraded performance and an innovative screen experience.
In particular, for the first time in the series, all three models feature a touch display. It provides the familiar and intuitive user experience you've experienced on smartphones and tablets across the entire lineup, including zooming in, zooming out, and scrolling through documents.
High resolution of 3K and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz support smooth viewing of clear screens without interruption, and the rich colors and deep contrast ratio of 120% color volume (based on DCI-P3) enhance the immersion of not only graphic work but also video viewing.
The display with anti-reflection applied reduces the burden of light reflection on the screen, and the Vision Booster automatically adjusts color contrast and brightness depending on the usage environment, such as the brightness of external sunlight, to provide a clear viewing experience anytime, anywhere.
■ Strengthening the Galaxy Ecosystem... Targeting Apple Samsung Electronics is applying a new function that connects the Galaxy Note PC, smartphone, and tablet into one to strengthen the Galaxy ecosystem, to the 'Galaxy Book 4 Series'.
The main support contents are: △'Samsung Studio', which allows you to continue working on a video that was being edited on a smartphone or tablet on a PC; △'Photo Remaster', which converts old photos or low-quality images to high-quality ones; △'Auto Switch', which automatically connects a call when working with the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. New functions are planned to be supported sequentially.
Also, 'Quick Share' that allows easy file sharing between Galaxy devices, 'Second Screen' that allows the tablet to be used as a dual monitor, and a PC keyboardExisting functions such as ‘Multi Control’, which allows the mouse to be used on smartphones and tablets, are also provided.
■ Various benefits provided to purchasing customers Samsung Electronics will sell a limited quantity of 400 units of the 'Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360' and 'Galaxy Book 4 Pro' as early birds on Samsung.com on December 18.
In addition, Samsung Electronics will provide Microsoft Office Home & Student to customers who purchase products until January 15th of next year, and will also give away a limited number of notebook pouches created exclusively in collaboration with Starbucks. 'Samsung Care Plus', which supports notebook PC repairs, will be provided free of charge for 12 months.
In addition, various subscription services are provided to further increase the productivity of the 'Galaxy Book 4 Series', such as △1-year free GoodNotes voucher △2-month free Yesform paid membership voucher △60-day free Yes24 Crema Club voucher △3-month 50% discount voucher for unlimited listening to Naver Vibe music. Customers who purchase the 'Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360' will also be given an additional free permanent voucher for the 'Note Shelf' that supports note-taking.
