KT가 통신장비 제조 전문업체 HFR과 서울 송파구 KT송파빌딩에서 5G 특화망 사업 영역 확대를 위한 도입 효용성 발굴과 기술 개발을 협력한다.

KT and HFR are taking the lead in the early market through technological cooperation to expand their 5G specialized network business.
KT announced on the 18th that it will cooperate with HFR, a telecommunications equipment manufacturing company, to discover the introduction effectiveness and develop technology for expanding the 5G specialized network business area at the KT Songpa Building in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
KT has extensive experience in building and operating 5G specialized networks. HFR is a mid-sized telecommunications equipment company that has developed an end-to-end solution required for building 5G specialized networks.
The two companies will build a 5G specialized network for small and medium-sized enterprises, local governments, and public corporations. We plan to jointly create a program that can verify the effectiveness of introducing a DX solution in advance.
The two companies said, “We will be able to present a method of introducing a 5G-specific network to customers and change the 5G-specific network ecosystem to focus on domestic equipment manufacturers.”
It is also expected that rapid DX implementation support will be available to customers who have already introduced 5G-specific networks or are considering building them.
HFR Jeong Hae-gwan, head of the Private 5G business group, said, “We will provide small and medium-sized enterprises with economical solutions tailored to their individual circumstances, and provide public corporations, including local governments, with Korean-style solutions that can realize security and a smart society, thereby contributing to the development of industry and society.”
Min Hye-byeong, executive director of KT Enterprise Service DX Headquarters, said, “The 5G specialized network, which is in its initial market formation, directly benefits customers through the expansion and activation of the ecosystem,” adding, “We will continue to develop competitive 5G specialized network services through cooperation between the two companies.”
