Strengthening of core technology capabilities for joint research and development project planning and research

Korea Automobile Research Institute (President Seung-sik Na) and Hyundai Rotem (CEO Yong-bae Lee) have joined hands to develop future defense mobility technology.

Hanjaeyeon and Hyundai Rotem signed a 'Business Agreement for Strengthening Core Technology Capabilities in Future Defense Mobility' at the Korea International Defense Industry Exhibition (KADEX) 2024 held in Gyeryongdae, Chungcheongnam-do on the 2nd.

On this day, around 10 key figures attended the MOU signing ceremony, including President Na Seung-sik of Hanjayeon, CEO Lee Yong-bae of Hyundai Rotem, Research Director Kim Hyeon-cheol of Hanjayeon, and DS Business Division Director Ahn Gyeong-su of Hyundai Rotem.

Through this MOU, the two companies will establish a close cooperative relationship to strengthen the capabilities of core defense future mobility technologies and continue cooperation.

Specifically, they plan to cooperate in the following areas: △Planning and research and development of defense future mobility (eco-friendliness, autonomous driving, advanced materials and platforms, etc.) projects, △Joint participation and commercialization of core technology projects, △R&D and testing and certification in the areas of component and system reliability and safety, △Exchange and commercialization of technology information for civil-military cooperation technology development, etc.

Hanjayeon expects that through its collaboration with Hyundai Rotem, it will be able to accelerate the strengthening of the competitiveness of defense technology and the defense industry as a whole by applying various cutting-edge technologies to future defense mobility.
