MEMS Studio All-in-One Tool Released
STMicroelectronics (NYSE: STM), a global semiconductor leader serving customers across the spectrum of electronics applications, is supporting the development of next-generation advanced MEMS sensor-based applications with easy-to-use, integrated, and efficient tools.
ST announced today the launch of its new MEMS Studio all-in-one tool for evaluating and developing MEMS sensors.
The tool is tightly integrated with the STM32 microcontroller ecosystem and is available for Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems.
MEMS Studio accelerates development by unifying the sensor development workflow from evaluation through configuration and programming, simplifying the delivery of rich situational awareness to your projects.
Enhanced capabilities enable you to easily collect and clearly visualize sensor data while exploring operating modes and optimizing performance and accuracy.
It also supports pre-implemented library test tools as well as convenient drag-and-drop algorithm creation functions, enabling intuitive, code-free STM32 MCU firmware development.
MEMS Studio supports ST's extensive portfolio of MEMS sensors, including motion sensors, environmental sensors, and infrared sensors.
You can simulate efficiency directly from the sensor andIt provides tools to explore and use all the capabilities of the sensor, including the edge AI and finite state machine (FSM) built into the sensor module.
These tools include tools for creating and managing decision trees on sensors powered by ST’s Machine-Learning Core (MLC), monitoring interrupt status, and testing advanced functions such as the sensor’s built-in FIFO, pedometer, and free-fall detection.
MEMS Studio also provides a new environment for analyzing sensor data both at runtime and offline, allowing users to visualize, label and edit data to implement the best algorithms.
Spectrogram analysis and fast Fourier transform (FFT) are also provided to help understand the sensor signals for optimal detection of the sensing application target.
Users have access to a variety of compatible development boards, including STM32 Nucleo expansion boards, sensor adapters, and ST's multi-sensor evaluation kit.
It consists of the STEVAL-MKI109V3 professional MEMS adapter motherboard with STM32F401VE MCU, SensorTile.box PRO and STWIN.box, with adjustable power settings.
As creative use of MEMS sensors continues to accelerate innovation in cutting-edge applications, the MEMS Studio supports designers in adding new advanced capabilities to the next generation of cutting-edge products. The MEMS Studio accelerates technology development for smart appliances, medical wearables, digital healthcare, smart buildings and factories, robotics, asset tracking, and smart driving.
AlgoBuilder, Unico-GUI, Unicleo-GUI MEMS Studio, which integrates and extends the capabilities of existing sensor development tools including MEMS NX, is now available for free download at www.st.com/mems-studio.
