Mass-produced products in the second half of the year, supplied to the largest domestic distribution network
AI semiconductor company DeepX announced on the 12th that it has signed a strategic business cooperation agreement with Daewon CTS, Korea's largest AI infrastructure supplier.
On the 11th, DeepX signed a B2B, B2C business distribution contract at the DeepX headquarters in Pangyo with the attendance of CEO Kim Nok-won, Chairman Jeong Myeong-cheon of Daewon CTS, and other officials from both companies to expand on-device AI solutions across all industries.
Daewon CTS, founded in 1988, is the domestic distributor for global semiconductor and server companies such as AMD, Dell, Supermicro, and K2US, and has been leading the distribution of domestic IT products through distributor contracts with domestic and foreign IT manufacturers such as LG, Samsung, and HP. Last year, it achieved distribution sales of KRW 720 billion.
Through this agreement, DeepX is expected to accelerate its business visibility to become a leading AI semiconductor company by supplying mass-produced products to the market through the largest domestic IT distribution network starting in the second half of this year.
In addition, Daewon CTS plans to expand its scope from providing NPU servers, storage, and AI networking solutions in the existing data center market to on-device solutions. In particular, we expect to be able to provide a total package solution for AI through collaboration with DeepX, beyond the domestic distributors of global server companies.
DeepX believes that the collaboration with Daewon CTS, which has a large domestic distribution network, has strategic value in that it can efficiently supply on-device AI semiconductor products such as DeepX's DX-V1 and DX-M1 to customers from the initial mass production.
Daewon CTS is the domestic distributor for global server developers such as Dell, Supermicro, and K2US, with which DeepX is exploring collaboration, and is therefore expected to create synergy in DeepX's conquest of the AI server market.
Daewon CTS CEO Ha Seong-won said, “We have been serving as the general distributor for various server companies targeting the AI infrastructure market in the domestic market,” and added, “With this general distribution contract with DeepX, we plan to transform into a true domestic AI infrastructure construction solution specialist that integrates server infrastructure and on-device infrastructure.”
DeepX CEO Kim Nok-won said, “We will expand our position in the AI semiconductor market with Daewon CTS’s solid and wide distribution network and DeepX’s excellent technological products,” adding, “We will open an era of AI becoming part of our daily lives by actively advancing into the global market with our first-generation product consisting of four AI semiconductors that will be mass-produced starting in the second half of this year.”
