Samsung Electronics has begun to revamp its organizational culture by promoting Han Jin-man to head of the Foundry Business Division and strengthening the Memory Business Division under the direct control of the CEO.
Samsung Electronics announced its 2025 regular executive reshuffle on the 27th, with a total of 9 people, including 2 promotions to president and 7 changes in assigned duties.
As for promotions, Samsung Electronics DS Division DSA General Manager Han Jin-man was promoted to President of the Foundry Business Division of Samsung Electronics DS Division, and Samsung Electronics Business Support T/F Vice President Kim Yong-kwan was promoted to President of the Management Strategy Division of Samsung Electronics DS Division.

Han Jin-man, President and Head of Foundry Business Unit, DS Division, Samsung Electronics, served in various positions, including as Head of the DRAM/Flash Design Team, Head of the SSD Development Team, and Head of the Strategic Marketing Office. He was appointed as Head of DSA at the end of 2022 and has been leading the semiconductor business at the forefront of the U.S. to this day.
Equipped with both technical expertise and business acumen and with extensive experience in responding to global customers, he is expected to strengthen the network with key customers along with innovation in process technology and further develop the current foundry business competitiveness.

Kim Yong-kwan, President of DS Division Management Strategy at Samsung Electronics, is a strategic planning expert who has experience in semiconductor planning/finance, future strategy office strategy team, and management diagnosis team. After being appointed as the head of the Medical Device Business Division in 2020 and putting the business on a stable track, he moved to the Business Support T/F in May 2024 and has contributed as a semiconductor support manager. With his advancement to the position of Semiconductor Management Strategy Manager, he is expected to take the lead in the new leap forward of the DS Division and early recovery of semiconductor competitiveness by utilizing his abundant business operation experience.
Meanwhile, the changes in appointment duties are as follows: △Samsung Electronics CEO and Head of DX Division and Head of DA Business, Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee has been appointed as Samsung Electronics CEO and Vice Chairman and Head of DX Division, Head of DA Business, and Chairman of the Quality Innovation Committee; △Samsung Electronics DX Division Global Marketing Office President and Head of Global Brand Center President Lee Young-hee has been appointed as Samsung Electronics DX Division Brand Strategy Committee President; △Samsung Electronics Counselor Lee Won-jin has been appointed as Samsung Electronics DX Division Global Marketing Office President; △Samsung Electronics DS Division Head Vice Chairman Jeon Young-hyun has been appointed as Samsung Electronics CEO and Vice Chairman and Head of DS Division, Memory Business Unit, and SAIT Director; △Samsung Electronics DS Division Global Manufacturing & Infrastructure Head of Manufacturing & Technology President Nam Seok-woo has been appointed as Samsung Electronics DS Division Foundry Business Unit CTO President; △Samsung Bioepis President Koh Han-seung has been appointed as Samsung Electronics Future Business Planning Division President; △Samsung Electronics DX Division Management Support Office President Park Hak-kyu has been appointed as Samsung Electronics Business Support T/F President.
In this personnel change, Vice Chairman and CEO Jeon Young-hyun concurrently assumed the role of head of the DS division and head of the memory division, and the memory division was strengthened to a system under the direct control of the CEO.
