LG이노텍(대표 문혁수)이 24일 서울 마곡 LG사이언스파크 본사 대강당에서 열린 ‘제49기 정기주주총회’를 통해 올해 주요 사업 계획과 신사업 구상을 발표했다. 문혁수 대표는 인사말에서 “올해도 어려운 경영환경이 예상되는 만큼, 고객과 함께 새로운 비즈니스 기회를 창출하고 사업 포트폴리오를 고도화하겠다”고 밝혔다. 그는 특히 반도체·모빌리티·로봇 부품 등 세 가지 핵심 사업에 집중하며 시장 선도 지위를 강화하겠다는 의지를 내비쳤다.

AP module for vehicles, first mass production and promotion in the second half of the year
“We will enhance our business portfolio in various fields such as semiconductors, mobility, and robot parts, and create new business opportunities together with our customers.”
LG Innotek (CEO Moon Hyuk-soo) announced its major business plans and new business concepts for this year at the '49th Regular Shareholders' Meeting' held at the main auditorium of the LG Science Park headquarters in Magok, Seoul on the 24th.
At the general shareholders' meeting that day, four agenda items were passed as originally proposed, including approval of financial statements, appointment of directors and auditors, and approval of director compensation limits.
At this general meeting, Kim Jeong-hoe, vice chairman of the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association, was appointed as a new outside director.
Director Kim, who served as Director of the Trade Negotiation Office at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Economic Advisor to the President, is expected to play a pivotal role in LG Innotek’s global business expansion and the growth of its semiconductor components business.
In his opening remarks, CEO Moon Hyuk-soo said, “As a difficult business environment is expected this year as well, we will create new business opportunities together with our customers and enhance our business portfolio.”
He expressed his intention to strengthen the company's market leadership by focusing on three core businesses, particularly semiconductors, mobility, and robot parts.
In the semiconductor parts businessBased on the technological competitiveness of existing businesses including RF-SiP (radio frequency system in package), the company plans to expand the market and also actively pursue commercialization of new businesses such as FC-BGA and next-generation glass substrates.
President Moon said, “We have already received some orders for the FC-BGA business targeting global big tech companies, and we will expand mass production with additional orders starting next year.”
LG Innotek is accelerating its conquest of the FC-BGA market by reorganizing its Gumi Plant 4 into a ‘Dream Factory’ with AI-based process innovation.
In the mobility sector, the company is accelerating the development of sensing, communication, and lighting components for autonomous driving (AD) and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and plans to expand its business scale to more than KRW 5 trillion.
In addition, the vehicle AP module, which is targeted for first mass production in the second half of the year, is currently being actively promoted to global semiconductor companies including those in North America.
President Moon also mentioned strengthening cooperation with global leading companies in the field of robot parts, saying, “We will quickly take the lead in the market and announce specific news of cooperation soon.”
He then presented a vision: “We will diversify our business portfolio based on highly scalable core technologies such as sensing, control, and substrates, and together with our customers, we will create another first-class business by riding a new S-curve.”
At a press conference after the general shareholders’ meeting, CEO Moon stated specific goals, saying, “We will grow the semiconductor components business to KRW 3 trillion in annual sales by 2030 and establish ourselves as a global key player,” and “We will gradually enter the high-end market for AI and servers and expand the scale of our business.”
In addition to the AP module for vehicles, we will also be producing prototypes of semiconductor glass substrates for communications and servers by the end of the year.We plan to produce it and launch full-scale promotions targeting global customers.
