관악아날로그가 지난 10월22일부터 25일에 개최된 한국전자전(KES2024)에 참가해 자체 IP로 개발한 전력 및 센서 관련 SoC를 선보이며, 아날로그 및 전력반도체를 주력으로 산업 및 자동차용 임베디드 시장을 적극 공략하겠다고 밝혔다.

Development of various embedded products from power management and sensors to on-device AI products

Taesan Park, Managing Director of Gwanak Analog, whom we met at the Korea Electronics Show (KES2024) held from October 22nd to 25th, introduced Gwanak Analog products and stated that Gwanak Analog, which has recently been attracting attention in the global market, is actively developing embedded products with analog and power semiconductors as its main products.
Looking at the main products that Gwanak Analog showcased at this exhibition, the GW831X is basically a proximity sensor system that processes control signals based on the touch and proximity sensing of mobile phones, home appliances, electronic devices, and people.
GW7120/5 is an SoC for interfacing with ultrasonic sensors, which are one of the most essential SoCs. The first application of this product is a product group for automotive parking assistance sensors, which basically assist in parking automobiles through distance measurement. There is also a second SoC product that interfaces with an ultrasonic sensor to detect the material of the floor surface of a home robot vacuum cleaner and provide appropriate control.
GW3210 and GW4230 are called multi-fusion signal conditioners, and their most important part is that they are products for dust sensing after COVID-19. They measure the air quality inside the vehicle and use the measured data to purify the air inside the vehicle or perform various controls.
Additionally, it can be used for solar applications. It checks the maximum efficiency on the solar panel side and processes the algorithm for it.
The GW2110 is an on-device AI product for processing AI functions within the chip itself.
The most basic function implemented is the TTS (Text To Speech) function, which includes an AI function that converts text signals into voice.
It is a system to provide voice support to passengers and customers at airports or public facilities.
KWS (Keyword Spotting) is a product that has been widely applied to recently emerging home appliances. Voice recognition can be performed using a wake-up command.
The demo presented at the exhibition was specialized for water purifiers, and usually implemented command sets such as hot water, cold water, water purifier tank, 500ml, and 100ml.
Meanwhile, Gwanak Analog started as an industry-academic collaboration startup at Seoul National University in 2018, and successfully completed fundraising by receiving 7 billion won in Series A investment in March of last year and 22 billion won in Series B investment in July of this year.
