New Year's Roadshow, starting in Busan on January 9th, then Daejeon on the 10th, Gwangju on the 24th, and more across the country
Daol TS, the domestic distributor for Dell Technologies and the Korean distributor for global open source software company SUSE, has been touring the country since the beginning of the year to strengthen its cooperative relationship with partners.
Daol TS (CEO Hong Jeong-hwa, hereinafter referred to as Daol TS) announced that it has strengthened its business relationship with major partners nationwide by holding ‘New Year Partner Seminars’ in succession at major branches nationwide, starting with Busan on January 9, Daejeon on the 10th, and Gwangju on the 24th.
Through this local roadshow, Daol TS shared its vision for artificial intelligence (AI) business, which it has been focusing on since last year, and introduced its infrastructure solution stack, including Dell Technologies' XE9680. In addition, by sharing open source software solutions and application cases for cloud business, we presented the cooperation plan and business direction between Daol TS and its partners this year.
At Daol TS' first New Year Partner Seminar of the year held at the Westin Chosun Busan on the 9th, Daol TS Director Lee Ju-hong introduced the Dell Technologies GPU Server XE9680 for AI and data fusion, and then Maymust Senior Vice President Kim Jin-hyo shared AI-related technologies under the topic of Running Your Own LLM with the Project Helix.
Lee Ju-hong, Director of Daol TS, highlighted the 2024 IT technology outlook along with Dell Technologies’ solutions, and gave a presentation on topics such as △building a supply chain and ecosystem for enterprise-generated AI, △implementing a data-centric future, △expanding to a multi-cloud environment through an edge platform, and △strengthening boundaries with zero trust. He also attracted attention by introducing methods to support the simplification of AI infrastructure through NVIDIA and AMD.
In a subsequent session, Jinhyo Kim, Senior Vice President of Maymust, introduced Dell and NVIDIA’s Project Helix for enterprise large language models (LLM). Maymust has been actively responding to the Project Helix offering through an MOU with DaolTS signed since last September. This project supports generative AI by combining Dell Technologies’ infrastructure and NVIDIA’s software, and enables AI to be implemented in a highly secure form.
To ensure smooth business with Maymust, Daol TS is providing and promoting the following: △Preparing the Project Helix demo center and providing strong technical support services, △Jointly building and operating an AI infrastructure test lab based on Dell GPU servers, △Building a partner ecosystem through activating AI/HPC businesses, △Increasing early participation in large-scale projects requiring upfront investment and order acquisition, △Securing GPU AI/HPC expertise and expanding hybrid cloud business planning. Project Helix is a generative AI model provided on-premise and is being jointly conducted by Dell Technologies and NVIDIA.
Also, at the Gwangju seminar, Suse Korea's Director Pyo Seon-wook introduced Suse's flagship solution, Suse Rancher. SUSE Rancher has the following strengths: △ the largest number of references in the mobility industry where container deployment/control is the most difficult; △ it is the only solution that can perfectly manage the three major public clouds (AWS, Azure, MS); △ it has the industry's best operational convenience (K8s engine upgrade, automatic security scanning) with minimal operator intervention; and △ it has an open monitoring UI/UX that even competitors are following.
At this roadshow, attended by over 100 partner representatives and executives from Busan, Daejeon, and Gwangju, Daol TS announced that each regional business team will be promoted to a branch office starting in 2024 and promised continued investment in 2024 as well.
Hong Jeong-hwa, CEO of Daol TS, said, “Daol TS plans to aggressively attack the AI and cloud market with a strategy of getting closer to customers through active collaboration with various partners such as Maymust as well as vendors such as Dell and SUSE.” He added, “In order to provide more seamless support to customers considering the introduction and operation of AI and cloud in local areas, we plan to actively build solid cooperative relationships with partners in major regions in all areas including technology, marketing, and sales.”
