Support for logistics, robotics, artificial intelligence, audio, and IoT solutions
Includes GPS and small high-resolution 5 megapixel camera
Mouser Electronics and Sony Announce Global Availability of Spresense Development Boards for IoT Edge Solutions
The Spresense mainboard features GPS functionality and is based on Sony’s multicore CXD5602 microcontroller. It is a small but versatile Arduino-compatible development board that can be used as a standalone device or with expansion boards.
The main board supports applications such as high-performance drones, time-lapse cameras, and smart speakers, while the expansion board provides additional features and hardware connectivity to the main board, such as headers compatible with Arduino/Uno, an additional USB port, a micro SD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Spresense camera board includes a compact, high-resolution 5-megapixel camera that expands the functionality of the main board. The camera board uses the ISX012 image sensor, and the onboard encoder supports data in JPEG, RAW, Y/C, and RGB formats. Combining the camera board with the AI capabilities of the main board provides advanced vision capabilities for IoT devices.
