글로벌 언어 AI 기업 딥엘(DeepL)이 AI 번역에 소통 기능을 강화한 ‘클래리파이(Clarify)’를 출시했다고 5일 밝혔다.

DeepL, a global language AI company, announced on the 5th that it has launched 'Clarify', which enhances communication functions in AI translation.
Operating as DeepL’s next-generation LLM, this feature allows users to directly participate in the translation process and control the results.
With this update, DeepL plans to provide improved services to corporate customers by reducing contextual ambiguity and increasing the accuracy of translation results. Currently, 'Clarify' only supports English-German translation for DeepL Pro users, but it plans to expand the supported languages in the future.
“AI is an essential partner in the workplace,” said Yarek Kutilovsky, DeepL founder and CEO. “Clarify is the ability for AI to interact with users and improve translation results.” He added, “As businesses trust AI to provide the right answers, a conversational approach to technology will soon become the industry standard, moving from static, one-way experiences to conversational ones.”
'Clarify' asks users questions about parts of the translation that require context, such as polysemy, gender references, and technical terms. Users can provide answers to these questions to improve the accuracy of the translation results.
“This addition of functionality is an important milestone for Deepel,” said Sebastian Enderlein, CTO of Deepel. “We will continue to meet our customers’ needs through various innovations in the future.”
Meanwhile, DeepL is expected to continue its growth based on 200,000 corporate customers through this update. Over the past year, DeepL has secured companies in various fields, including SoftBank and Mazda, as customers and established itself as a language AI solution provider.
