IBM Consulting announced on the 26th that it has launched a new AI integration service that helps companies innovate their work processes by utilizing AI agents.
IBM Consulting expects that this service will enable companies to implement new work methods using AI agents on their preferred AI and cloud platforms and create real results and value.
AI agents have the ability to assess situations with minimal human intervention, collect and analyze data to solve problems, perform tasks autonomously, and continuously learn through interaction. This can go beyond simple productivity improvements and fundamentally change the way companies work.
IBM Consulting proposed a new business process called 'Agentic App' that organically combines three areas: user experience, AI agents, and data. This includes: 1) a new user experience that applies customized AI assistants based on user roles; 2) powerful AI governance integration that allows multiple AI agents to collaborate to automate tasks; and 3) data management that organizes and optimizes distributed data in real time to smoothly support AI-based processes.
The newly launched AI Integration Service provides solutions to help enterprise customers implement agentic apps. IBM Consulting has technical and industry expertise in AI scaling and governance, and announced that more than 75,000 consultants have obtained generative AI-related certifications since 2023. It also added that it has secured proven capabilities for AI adoption by obtaining more than 135,000 industry-specific certifications in various industries such as finance, telecommunications, and the public sector.
IBM Consulting is further accelerating AI adoption through IBM Consulting Advantage, a generative AI-based consulting platform. In particular, IBM Consulting Agent Catalyst solutions can be used to build agentic apps that automate complex enterprise workflows in a low-code/no-code manner. It provides customer-tailored AI solutions in conjunction with major cloud and AI platforms such as IBM, Azure, and AWS, and it is expected that companies will be able to realize AI-based innovation while maintaining their existing technology environment.
In addition, it provides pre-built agentic app templates that can be applied to specific industry sectors and business processes. It provides customized AI agents from strategic partners such as IBM, Oracle, Salesforce, SAP, and ServiceNow, and by utilizing these pre-defined templates with analytics and operational data integration functions, you can quickly innovate core business tasks for each industry, such as purchasing, payment, customer service, supply chain management, finance, and life sciences.
