Vertiv, a global leader in core digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, today announced the launch of Vertiv™ SmartAisle™ 3, a micro-modular data center system that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to enable efficient operations.

Currently commercially available, SmartAisle™ 3 can support IT loads up to 120kW and is an ideal solution for a variety of industries including banking, healthcare, government, and transportation.

Built on existing Vertiv™ SmartAisle™ technology, SmartAisle 3 is a fully integrated data center ecosystem comprised of racks, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), climate and humidity monitoring, and physical security.

This latest version of SmartAisle includes AI capabilities and self-learning features that help significantly optimize the operations and energy efficiency of micro data centers.

Each carriage or rack cabinet contains a smart power output device (POD), which supplies power to the rack PDU. In addition to managing distribution seamlessly, it also acts as a monitoring gateway to monitor carriage status including temperature, humidity, and door status.

Additionally, SmartAisle 3 features integrated cables and front and rear carriage sensors, allowing you to skip the cumbersome process of installing complex cables on-site and free up space in your data center.

SmartAisle 3 further reduces the complexity of on-site setup with one-click networking capabilities that make it easy to configure data center systems.

It also has an AI self-learning function that intelligently monitors and controls the temperature according to the operating environment, allowing it to maintain optimal operating conditions while saving up to 20% of energy compared to systems without this function.

Featuring an intuitive 15-inch touchscreen control panel and the option to upgrade to a 95-inch local door display, the Vertiv™ SmartAisle™ 3 provides enhanced system visibility and troubleshooting to ensure the system is operating at peak efficiency.

SmartAisle™ 3 includes a Vertiv™ Liebert® APM modular uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system, a Vertiv™ Liebert® CRV 4 in-row cooling system, and a Vertiv™ Liebert® RDU 501 intelligent monitoring system.

It also comes pre-installed with a flexible busbar system that reduces the complexity of the distribution installation, simplifying overall system design.
