Support for hardware-based custom logic implementation, evaluation kits and design challenges for developers
Mouser Electronics, a global distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, today announced that it is now stocking the new PIC16F13145 microcontroller (MCU) family from Microchip Technology.
The PIC16F13145 microcontroller allows users to easily implement hardware-based custom logic into their applications through the Configurable Logic Block (CLB) peripheral.
Microchip developed the CLB based on its Configurable Logic Cell (CLC) technology that has been accumulated for over 10 years, enabling the implementation of more complex hardware-based functions.
CLB performs digital logic functions independently of the CPU, improving response speed and reducing power consumption.
Users can directly implement various logic functions by combining logic elements such as matrix multipliers, look-up tables, and flip-flops.
In addition to the CLB, the PIC16F13145 microcontroller family includes a 10-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter with Computation (ADCC), 8It is equipped with various core independent peripherals (CIPs), including a 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC), a high-speed comparator with a response time of 50ns, and an I2C/SPI communication module.
Additionally, it is available in a variety of package options from 8 to 20 pins, increasing design flexibility and minimizing the need for external logic components, contributing to reduced bill of materials (BOM) cost and power consumption.
Mouser also offers the PIC16F13145 Curiosity Nano Evaluation Kit (EV06M52A) to support development with the PIC16F13145 microcontroller.
This evaluation kit includes a built-in programmer and debugger, eliminating the need for external tools, and allows easy configuration of the CLB and all onboard peripherals via Microchip’s MPLAB® X IDE and MPLAB Code Configurator (MCC).
Additionally, Mouser is sponsoring the 2025 Configurable Logic Design Challenge with Microchip and All About Circuits. Developers are encouraged to submit application ideas utilizing the PIC16F13145 MCU, and selected participants will receive a free PIC16F13145 Curiosity Nano evaluation kit.
With a total prize pool of $10,000, the event will be a chance to fully demonstrate creativity and technical prowess, backed by a panel of expert judges and cutting-edge logic technology.
Detailed information about the PIC16F13145 microcontroller can be found on the Mouser website, and the latest Mouser product information can be found in the Newsroom.
