Mouser Electronics, the leader in New Product Introductions (NPIs) that enable innovation™, announced it will continue its sponsorship of the Create the Future Design Contest as a Platinum Sponsor this year.
The contest is a global challenge for engineers and innovators around the world to design next-generation innovations, offering a variety of winning opportunities.
Mouser has sponsored the contest for over 10 years and is again joining as a co-sponsor alongside Mouser’s key manufacturing partners Intel® and Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI).
The contest is sponsored by SAE Media Group, a subsidiary of SAE International Company, and Tech Briefs magazine, with COMSOL as a major sponsor.
Applications for this contest will be accepted from March 3, 2025 to July 1, 2025. The grand prize winner, chosen for his or her socially and economically innovative product, will receive a cash prize of $25,000 and global recognition.
To date, the contest has received more than 15,000 design ideas submitted by engineers, companies and students from over 100 countries.

The 'Design Contest for the Future' focuses on discovering innovative product designs that can improve human development, the quality of healthcare services, and provide sustainable solutions. Previous contest entries include biodegradable plastics, standalone organ and limb transport devices, and economical and rapid screening devices for preventing food poisoning.
The contest was created in 2002 by the editors of Tech Brief magazine to encourage and support engineering innovation. The grand prize winner is chosen from seven categories: Aerospace & Defense, Automotive/Transportation, Electronics, Manufacturing & Materials, Medical, Robotics & Automation, and Energy, Power & Propulsion.
