Mouser Expands Support for STEM Education to Develop Future Engineers

Sponsorship of the 2025 'FIRST Robot Competition'

Mouser Electronics, a leading distributor of electronic components, continues its support of the FIRST® Robotics Competition for youth this year.

From April 16 to 19, Mouser hosted the George R. We are proud to be a registered sponsor of the 2025 FIRST Competition at the Brown Convention Center.

During the event, Mouser hosted a special unveiling of its sponsored battlebot team, HUGE, and its robot weighing approximately 114 kg (250 pounds) at the Innovation Faire, drawing keen interest from attendees.

“Education is our core mission at Mouser, and we’ve been a sponsor of the FIRST robotics competition since 2014,” said Kevin Hess, Mouser’s senior vice president of marketing. “FIRST provides students with a platform for innovation, the opportunity to learn useful engineering skills, and build character and self-esteem.”

For the past decade, Mouser has been a major supporter of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education, helping students develop problem-solving skills and teamwork.

This year, we sponsored the FIRST in Texas District Championship and are contributing to STEM education in our community by providing financial support to high school teams in Tarrant County, Texas.

The FIRST Robotics Competition is a global event that combines the challenge of science and technology with the fun of sports, with tens of thousands of students participating each year.

Teams competing in the competition build industrial-sized robots within strict rules, time constraints, and limited resources to solve a variety of challenging tasks.
