Achieving 1st grade energy efficiency with inverter control technology


On the 10th, LG Electronics launched a commercial stand air conditioner (PW083PT2SR) that achieved the 1st grade in energy consumption efficiency in Korea.

LG Electronics has improved cooling and heating performance and efficiency by applying vapor injection technology, which separates some of the refrigerant when compressing it, turns it into gas, and then injects it. An official explained that inverter control technology also contributed to obtaining the top grade in energy consumption efficiency.

This product was the first in Korea to receive the 1st grade in single-type commercial stand air conditioners using one indoor unit after the energy consumption efficiency rating standards were strengthened in October 2018. Cooling efficiency is up to 34% higher and heating efficiency is up to 42% higher than the existing product (PW0831R2SR).

In addition, it is equipped with an R1 compressor that increases efficiency and durability and reduces noise, and the indoor unit is equipped with a humidity sensor so that it cools by considering not only temperature but also indoor humidity.

Users can monitor and control the air conditioner anytime, anywhere by connecting the new Wi-Fi-equipped product to the LG ThinQ app on their smartphone. The black box function stores data about the driving conditions at the moment a malfunction occurs.
