한국재료연구원(KIMS, 원장 최철진)이 10월10일부터 11일까지 창원컨벤션센터(CECO)에서 국내 소재부품 기업 관계자들을 대상으로 ‘KIMS TECHFAIR 2024’를 개최한다.
October 10th - 11th Changwon Convention Center
99 technologies including 6 world-class technologies
The Korea Institute of Materials Science (KIMS, President Choi Cheol-jin) has gathered 99 technologies in various fields, including six world-class technologies, in one place.
The Korea Institute of Materials Science will hold 'KIMS TECHFAIR 2024' for domestic material component companies at the Changwon Convention Center (CECO) from October 10th to 11th.
'KIMS TECHFAIR' is a place to introduce the research results of the Materials Research Institute to the public and companies. It aims to actively communicate with companies, realize the value of delivering practical benefits to the public, and form a practical cooperation network based on advanced smart industries for the 4th industrial revolution.
This can be said to be the representative event of the Materials Research Institute, which was first held in 2014 and is now in its fifth year. Hosted by Gyeongsangnam-do and Changwon City, organized by Materials Research Institute, and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Council of Science and Technology.
This event will feature a total of 99 technologies from various fields, including six world-class technologies owned by Materials Research Institute.
Specifically, there are 12 in the commercialization technology field, 11 in the aerospace field, 11 in the future mobility field, 13 in the eco-friendly field, 13 in the energy/nuclear power field, 12 in the nano/bio field, 11 in the defense field, and 10 in the IT/semiconductor/platform/AI field.
There will also be a technology exhibition and a space to share opinions on material technology.
On the first day of the event, 'Synergy Nexus' will be held. This event, which means creating a crossroads where materials research institutes and companies grow together, will present cases of cooperation between materials research institutes and large corporations, as well as successful cases of technology transfer. Hanwha Aerospace Executive Director Choi Joo-tae, HVM CEO Moon Seung-ho, Vals Innovation Research Institute Director Lee Yu-ri, and Soul Material CEO Jeong In-cheol will attend. On the second day, a 'Future Technology Collaboration Symposium' on various topics will be held. △Artificial intelligence for future new industry demand technology, △Ceramic materials for the future, △Latest technology trends in rolling, extrusion, and drawing of material parts for use in future industries, △Material process technology for responding to future strategic industries will be the topics.
Choi Chul-jin, the president of the Korea Institute of Materials Science, said, “It is important to not only focus on creating good technology, but also to convey meaningful value to the public.” He added, “I ask for your interest and participation in this event, which was created so that researchers leading technology trends can cooperate with companies and provide practical help to the public.”
