Securing KRW 600 million in operating capital, securing growth opportunities such as investment attraction and collaboration with large companies

Etiforce Co., Ltd. (CEO Ho-Jun Kim), a next-generation vehicle communication technology (V2X) specialist, was selected as a promising startup leading the global market in recognition of its technological prowess and global expansion potential in the system semiconductor field, securing various growth opportunities such as investment attraction and technological advancement along with KRW 600 million in operating funds.

Etiphos announced on the 28th that it was finally selected for the '2025 Ultra-Gap Startup 1000+' project hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

'Super Gap Startup 1000+' is a large-scale startup support project that discovers and fosters promising startups that will lead the global market in 10 super gap fields that will lead Korea's future industries, such as system semiconductors, future cars, AI, and big data.

Etiphos was selected for this project in recognition of its technological prowess in the field of ‘system semiconductors’ and its potential for global expansion.

'Super Gap Startup 1000+' plans to support over 1,000 innovative startups by 2025, and aims to foster global champions of the next generation of industries.

With this selection, Etiphos will secure growth opportunities through various programs such as attracting global investment, technological advancement, and collaboration with large corporations, along with up to KRW 600 million in commercialization funds.

Additionally, as a preferential company under government policy, you can receive additional support, such as low-interest financing of up to 10 billion won.

Etiforce is a startup specializing in V2X communication technology and has commercialized the world's first 5G-V2X solution.

In recognition of Etiphos' technological prowess and business potential, in April 2024, through the investment lead of LB Investment, the top venture capital firm in Korea that has invested in key national strategic industries for the long term, Korea Development Bank, L&S Venture Capital, and BNK Venture Investment participated, completing a Series A investment of KRW 8.5 billion, and is currently in the process of attracting Series B investment.

Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology is a key communication technology essential for autonomous driving and connected mobility.

Founded in 2022, Etiforce has thrown down the gauntlet in the V2X communication modem market led by global companies.

In particular, Etiforce is attracting attention from the industry by developing an SDM (Software Defined Modem) solution that implements the C-V2X method, which has been adopted as a national standard by China, the United States, and Korea, in software.

The Etiforce SDM solution can be upgraded from the current standard, LTE-V2X, to the latest standard, 5G-V2X, with only a software update, without replacing hardware.

Etiforce plans to launch a semiconductor chipset using this SDM technology in the third quarter of 2025.

“This selection is recognition of Etiforce’s technological prowess and growth potential from government and industry officials,” said Etiforce CEO Kim Ho-jun. “Amidst geopolitical changes where the importance of semiconductors as a national security asset is growing, we will introduce the V2X chipset designed by Etiforce to the global automotive communication semiconductor market and contribute to elevating the status of Korean fabless.”
