The Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) has begun to foster deep tech startups in areas such as AI, quantum technology, and robotics.

ETRI Holdings Co., Ltd., the technology holding company of ETRI, will hold the '2025 Innovation Investment Forum' at the Convergence Technology Research and Production Center within the research institute on the 19th.

This forum was established to discover deep-tech startups in the fields of AI, quantum technology, information and communication technology (ICT) convergence, future mobility, robots, and biomedical science, and to support investment and growth.

Since 2022, ETRI Holdings Co., Ltd. and ETRI have been operating an innovation investment forum to promote technology commercialization startups utilizing public technology.

This 2025 forum will provide investment opportunities through various deep-tech startup corporate activities (IR), and a seminar introducing ETRI's innovative R&BD technology development status will also be held.

At the seminar, presentations will be given by Headquarters Director Choi Jeong-dan, who handles future mobility and robotics technology, Headquarters Director Park Su-jun, who handles artificial intelligence-based biomedical technology, and Headquarters Director Yoon Cheon-ju, who handles quantum technology including quantum computing.

Through this, we plan to support startups to explore commercialization possibilities using public technology.

In addition, the Korea Technology Promotion Agency (COMPA), Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center, Technology Guarantee Fund, and EDI Co., Ltd.Various institutions, including research institutes, will participate to introduce various technology commercialization support programs for public technology-based deep tech startups and global leaps.

ETRI Holdings Co., Ltd. is a new technology startup company established in May 2010 for the purpose of investing in ETRI's public technology commercialization. It has invested in a total of 134 companies to date, and the total value of the invested companies amounts to KRW 2.7 trillion.

We have contributed to the creation of a technology startup ecosystem by investing in 95 research institutes of the Ministry of Science and ICT, 43 companies through the TIPS (Telecommunications Investment Support Program) of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and 7 companies through Scale-up TIPS.

Etri Holdings Co., Ltd., in cooperation with the ETRI Commercialization Headquarters, has promoted systematic support for corporate growth and enhancement of corporate value, and through this, successfully led to the initial public offerings (IPOs) of a total of five companies, including Suzentech and Jinsystem.

In January of last year, we acquired a venture capital (VC) license to strengthen our investment capabilities in commercialization based on public technology.
