Applied Materials Korea (CEO Kwang-sun Park), a leading company in materials engineering solutions for advanced semiconductors and displays, is actively participating in activities for the local community and contributing to creating a sustainable future.

Appline announced that it participated as an official sponsor in the 'Seongnam Run Festival' held at Seongnam Tancheon Sports Complex on March 22nd.

The Seongnam Run Festival is an event that aims to spread a healthy lifestyle and positive sports culture, and Applied Materials Korea and Seongnam City participated in sponsoring it.

The event features a variety of courses, including 5km, 10km, and a half marathon (21.1km), so that participants can start at Seongnam Tancheon Sports Complex and run along the Tancheon Trail.

A total of 4,800 local residents and groups participated and had a meaningful time enjoying healthy sports activities together.

Applied Materials Korea actively participated in the event with approximately 200 employees working at business sites across the country, including Bundang, Icheon, Cheonan, Cheongju, Pyeongtaek, and Hwaseong.

They had a great time running the marathon course with local residents, while also taking part in an in-house fundraising campaign to help underprivileged children.

The company has expanded the meaning of sharing by donating an amount equal to the amount donated by its employees, and the donations are used in the local community. It is scheduled to be refunded.

Applied Materials Korea CEO Park Kwang-sun said, “As a member of the local community, Applied Materials is continuously working together to create positive changes,” and “We will further expand our activities for the local community through this sponsorship of the Seongnam Run Festival.”
