Wolfspeed, the world's leading silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductor company, introduces the latest SiC technology trends in Seoul.
Wolfspeed will hold the '
2024 Wolfspeed Power Technical Roadshow Seoul ' at COEX 308 in Samseong-dong, Seoul on May 21st.
This event was held to inform domestic customers of the advantages and technical challenges of Wolfspeed SiC semiconductors.
Key presentations included: △Vice President Lee Tae-hoon’s ‘The Future of Silicon Carbide’, △VP of Marketing Guy Moxey’s ‘SiC Solutions for Motor & Motion and E-Mobility’, and △Rexin Wang of Asia Marketing Development’s ‘From Solar to Automotive’.△ Director Tony Liu and Manager Ham Jeong-ho will present on ‘Design Guide and Solutions’.
There will also be a Q&A session after the presentation.
The presentation will share: How SiC is making the future of power more efficient; Delivering superior SiC solutions for industrial e-mobility and EV charging; The critical role of energy storage systems for renewable energy; SiC design considerations and timesaving reference designs for the most in-demand SiC products in motor & motion; SpeedVal Kit - the industry's most versatile modular silicon carbide evaluation platform; SpeedFit - the industry's most comprehensive and continuous system-level circuit simulation for SiC power.
Wolfspeed, a semiconductor company that has been a leader in SiC semiconductors for over 35 years, commercialized SiC MOSFETs in 2011, setting a new standard for high-efficiency power switches.
In April 2022, it started operation of a 200mm SiC manufacturing plant using cutting-edge technology in Mohawk Valley, New York, and in September 2022, it announced the establishment of a new raw materials manufacturing plant in Chatham, Mos Carolina, USA. In addition, in February 2023, it announced plans to build the world's largest SiC component manufacturing plant in Saarland, Germany.
Participation in the seminar is free, and registration can be done on the event website (
