Equipped with Intel Xeon 6 processor, rack density improved 4.5 times
Maximize performance per rack with up to 42% faster speeds
Lenovo, Xeon 6-based web performance 3.18x improvement analysis
Lenovo announced on the 12th the 'Lenovo ThinkSystem V4 Portfolio', a solution equipped with the Intel 'Xeon® 6' processor that increases AI accessibility and flexibly responds to the requirements of business workloads.
Lenovo emphasized that the new portfolio consists of servers optimized to help customers seamlessly integrate AI into their workflows through AI-enabled solutions and to maximize performance and efficiency of target workloads.
Lenovo’s new AI-based systems management solution leverages generative AI to automate and simplify deployment and configuration across distributed computing networks.
Lenovo ThinkSystem V4 portfolio delivers advanced performance, efficiency and manageability to make AI accessible to every business. Lenovo’s new ThinkSystem servers, part of the portfolio, are optimized for rack density and massive transactional data to enhance processing performance in data centers for enterprises, CSPs, high-performance computing and telecommunications companies. Provides 4x more cores per rack and improves performance by up to 4.3x.
The Lenovo ThinkSystem SD520 V4 server has high rack density and efficiency, and provides ultra-dense processing capabilities with up to 225% more cores in a 2U chassis. When the number of web transactions increases, throughput can be improved by up to 3.18 times.
It has more than three times the storage capacity of the previous version, improving efficiency in processing speeds for online banking, e-commerce, and CSP.
The SR630 V4 reconfigures power for cloud-scale, telco 5G core, and e-commerce workloads, featuring up to 42% faster media transcoding, while the SR630 V4 is equipped with high-performance and workload-optimized features that increase application bandwidth by up to 2x with PCIe 5 IO and DDR5 memory.
“Lenovo and Intel have a long history of innovation, transforming data centers with hybrid cloud and edge technologies,” said Sumir Bhatia, president, Lenovo Asia Pacific. “With the launch of Lenovo ThinkSystem V4, we are contributing to making AI more accessible, fair and inclusive.”
This next-generation infrastructure is said to help companies utilize hybrid AI infrastructure and maximize the value of data.
Yoon Seok-jun, Vice President of Lenovo Global Technology, emphasized, “Innovation is accelerating due to generative AI, and AI is causing innovation in industries to the extent that 31% of domestic CIOs recognize it as a game changer.” He added, “The ThinkSystem V4 portfolio, equipped with Intel’s technological prowess, will contribute to the efficiency of decision-making and improved productivity of domestic companies.”
