AI PC가 AI 경험을 제공하기 위해서는 일상적인 작업을 돕는 AI 어시스턴트를 더욱 빠르고 효율적으로 개발하는 것이 중요하다.
Samsung, Acer, ASUS, etc. use Intel solutions
In order for AI PCs to provide AI experiences, it is important to develop AI assistants that help with everyday tasks more quickly and efficiently.
On the 24th, Intel unveiled 'AI Suite' that supports AI assistant development.
The 'Intel AI Assistant Builder' unveiled at the last CES 2025 announced that it is possible to develop a customized AI assistant in just a few minutes. The AI Assistant Builder is a solution that supports AI model development, and it is possible to build an AI assistant in just three steps.
“Intel is providing the industry with a foundation to create their own AI-centric content,” said Olena Zhu, principal engineer at Intel. “This will enable Intel customers to reduce overall development time and accelerate the time to market for their own smart solutions.”
Key partners include Acer, which developed a proof-of-concept AI sales assistant technology in just three days by integrating its camera vision, and Samsung Electronics, which collaborated with Intel to introduce an on-device-based generative AI chatbot to Kyobo Book Centre. ASUS has developed a tech-specific Q&A assistant for its NUC customers.
It takes weeks to months to develop an AI assistant from scratch and requires deep expertise in software programming and AI. On the other hand, AI assistant builders are actively utilized by PC manufacturers (OEMs) and independent software vendors (ISVs) around the world. As the AI PC platform matures, it is reported that more customers are pursuing collaboration with Intel.
AI Assistant Builder runs smoothly on any Intel-based AI PC that meets certain hardware requirements. The minimum specifications are a PC with an Intel Core Ultra processor (series 1), 16GB of RAM, and integrated Intel graphics.
While the initial toolkit download requires an internet connection, the AI Assistant Builder runs query processing on a local PC rather than in the cloud. This also goes a long way toward alleviating security concerns. “By running the AI Assistant on a local AI PC rather than in the cloud, users have full control over the security of their data and can use it with greater peace of mind,” Olena Zhu emphasized.
“We expect to create even more diverse opportunities when combined with Acer’s camera vision technology,” said Mark Yang, vice president of compute software technology at Acer. “Based on our partnership with Intel, we will continue to support customers to effectively implement these applications through hardware and software solutions.”
