Snowflake, a global AI data cloud company, announced on the 6th that it has introduced the ability to directly utilize OpenAI's latest model to its AI agent 'Snowflake Cortex AI'.

This enables customers to build OpenAI-based applications and data agents without additional setup, and quickly obtain advanced AI insights.

Snowflake Cortex AI integrates with Azure OpenAI services in Microsoft Azure AI Foundry to analyze a variety of data, including text, audio, and video, in real time.

This enables customers to develop sophisticated AI applications with advanced inference and command execution capabilities in their data environments.

Along with this, Snowflake maintains enterprise-grade security and governance through Horizon Catalog. Ensures safe AI operation.

“This integration is a game-changing milestone that will change the paradigm of AI utilization, providing an environment for using multiple AI models directly on the Snowflake platform,” said Christian Kleinerman, Senior Vice President of Products at Snowflake.

This update is compatible with various AI models such as Anthropic, DeepSeek, and Meta, as well as OpenAI models.

Snowflake also helps customers choose AI solutions that fit their business needs through its own open source language model, Arctic.

Meanwhile, Snowflake and Microsoft plan to provide the 'Snowflake Cortex Agent' in Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams from June. This aims to provide intuitive data analysis and productivity enhancement using natural language. This collaboration is expected to open up new possibilities for powerful business solutions that combine AI and data cloud technology.
