Altair Holds AI Conference... Strengthening AI Embedded
Ravi: “AI is useless without organized information”
Altair to hold ATC Korea 2024 next month
Generative artificial intelligence heralds a paradigm shift in product design and manufacturing. AI-based engineering has emerged as a tool that can accelerate research, development, and design cycles across a range of industries, from automotive and aerospace to electromagnetic waves and life sciences.
Altair recently hosted an AI conference for engineers, introducing the latest AI-based design and simulation tools and how to use them through online sessions.
On this day, Altair unveiled '100 Use Cases for AI-Based Engineering' and shared practical insights to help engineers implement AI in product development.
In his keynote address, Ravi Kunju, Altair's chief product and strategy officer, talked about the technology paradigm shift through AI.
Ravi Kunju outlined six key requirements for enterprises’ AI transformation: human intelligence, reliable fundamental physics and data science, economics and fine-tuning of AI algorithms, embedding of AI models within existing workflows, computing resources such as CPUs, GPUs, and HPCs, and data classification and management.
He especially emphasized the importance of data, saying, “AI is useless without organized information,” and pointed out that company-wide efforts are needed for data classification, simulation, data management, and collaboration.
Altair is focused on empowering and embedding AI into enterprise workflows, building a data backbone for AI enterprises, powering generative AI applications, and enabling collaboration between engineers and data scientists.
Ravi Kunju shares some of the vision of AI-based engineering by presenting 100 AI use cases such as fatigue prediction, alloy wheel length prediction, battery pack voltage and condition estimation, and antenna placement optimization prediction. It opened.
AI-based engineering can help designers and domain experts gain more information, allowing them to simultaneously consider multiple objectives throughout the design lifecycle—optimizing for aesthetics, comfort, and manufacturability in addition to cost and strength.
Meanwhile, Altair Korea will host the 22nd Altair Technology Conference (ATC) 2024 at Conrad Seoul on August 23. As a venue to explore the convergence of simulation, data analysis/AI, and HPC technologies, it is expected that approximately 1,000 leading domestic and international industry engineers and opinion leaders will attend.
