AI experts who will lead industrial innovation in Ulsan have been produced.

UNIST and Ulsan City produced 35 graduates at the 'AI Novatus Academia Ulsan Course 7th Graduation Ceremony' held at the AI Innovation Park on the 22nd.

This course was conducted with the goal of introducing AI technology to innovate the manufacturing industry in the Ulsan region.

The training, which was conducted for five months starting last July, studied practical application methods of AI technology.

Hyundai Mipo Dockyard achieved a 9% cost reduction by optimizing cable routes onboard ships.

Neonent analyzed injection process data to reduce the defect rate to 6% and shortened work setup time.

BNK Gyeongnam Bank improved the accuracy of loan predictions by utilizing machine learning, and Taehwa Environment developed a system to reduce nitrogen oxides in the oil refining process through AI.

Korea National Oil Corporation analyzed safety accident data to predict risk factors and built a risk response system linked to a chatbot.

Yang Seung-jun, head of the UNIST AI Innovation Park division, said, “Through this training, AI technology has led to tangible results in corporate settings.”

UNIST AI Innovation Park has been providing AI education to companies in the Ulsan area since 2021, and has produced 210 graduates from 90 companies so far.
