Expanding cooperation starting with finance
Vision AI solution company Alchera announced on the 26th that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Slovenian Embassy in Korea and financial security specialist Initech for innovation and joint business development in the AI industry.
Through this agreement, the three organizations will continue to collaborate to strengthen Slovenia’s AI technology, increase IT digital utilization, and expand joint projects based on mutual cooperation.
Starting with the financial business, we aim to apply our country's advanced technologies to various Slovenian industrial fields such as security and safety, and to discover joint projects.
Alchera and Initech signed a business agreement last year for a facial recognition-based integrated identity verification platform business, and are expanding the application of artificial intelligence in finance and various other industries.
Alchera is a company that provides passport authenticity verification solutions to domestic financial institutions, and possesses the technology to determine authenticity by comparing the passport's facial image and text information with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs database.
This solution has proven its technological prowess by taking first place in the BMT conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2021, and is being used as a technology for identity verification and security enhancement in various industries including the financial sector. Through this agreement, Alchera plans to further expand the scope of application of its AI-based security solutions in the global market.
Hwang Young-gyu, CEO of Alchera, said, “Through this agreement, we will supply Alchera’s AI-based facial recognition solution to Slovenian banks and expand the scope of application of our technology in the local market.” He added, “Alchera ranks first in Korea in the facial recognition AI performance test hosted by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), so we expect to be able to provide a high level of security and convenience in Slovenia as well.”
