Intel announces new edge AI technology solutions, further simplifying the integration of AI with existing infrastructure.

Intel today announced new Intel® AI Edge Systems, Edge AI Suites, and Open Edge Platform initiatives.

The newly unveiled Intel® AI Edge Systems, Edge AI Suites, and Open Edge Platform are designed to enable more efficient use of edge AI in various industries such as retail, manufacturing, and smart cities.

“Customers want to scale AI in a way that simultaneously meets their TCO, energy efficiency, and performance goals,” said Dan Rodriguez, vice president and general manager of Intel’s Edge Computing Group. “Intel is addressing this need with new solutions to accelerate the evolution of edge AI.”

According to market research firms, more than half of enterprise data will be processed at the edge by 2026. In particular, the utilization of edge computing, including machine learning, is expected to increase rapidly.

Intel is ready to meet these challenges with decades of edge computing experience and over 100,000 real-world implementations.

Looking at Intel's key technology solutions, the AI Edge System simplifies AI deployment by providing standardized tools and resources for OEM and ODM manufacturers. It meets customer needs with a variety of hardware and software options.

Edge AI Suite is a software development kit (SDK) optimized for specific industries that supports rapid development and deployment of AI applications.

The Open Edge Platform is a modular, open source-based platform that enables cloud-level, large-scale deployment and management capabilities in edge environments.

Intel’s open edge approach delivers consistent TCO savings and performance improvements across a range of industries, most notably in AI video analytics, delivering up to 2.3x better end-to-end pipeline performance and up to 5x better performance per dollar than competing products.
