The era of beam projectors and PPTs is coming to an end. Now, collaboration and education using VR devices in the virtual reality world are expected to become mainstream.

VR company PICO announced on the 17th that it is providing a safety education solution with immersive scenarios through collaboration with domestic safety education specialist MetaEducis.

PICO Business Enterprise Solutions explained that they contribute to improving training outcomes by supporting immersive and efficient safety training through VR and enabling knowledge learning in vivid scenarios.

MetaEducis uses its PICO Business enterprise solution to teach elementary school students in Korea how to rescue a drowning person in a virtual outdoor river and how to deal with unexpected ship accidents.

By providing various safety trainings, such as survival swimming skills and CPR learning in a virtual swimming pool environment, we were able to increase elementary school students' interest in safety learning and motivate them by using VR learning methods that are more fun and immersive than traditional learning methods. MetaEducis' survey results showed that elementary school students who received VR safety education showed improved safety awareness and ability to handle safety accidents.

The Pico enterprise hardware products used by MetaEducis are the 6DoF VR all-in-one 'PICO Neo3 Pro' and the 3DoF VR all-in-one 'PICO G2 4K'. The PICO Neo3 Pro uses the previous generation's own research-use 6DoF position tracking algorithm to implement millimeter-unit spatial precision positioning and ultra-low tracking delay with an optical sensor, providing an immersive business interaction environment. It also reduces discomfort even when worn for long periods of time by applying an ergonomic design and rear battery.

The PICO G2 4K supports ultra-high definition with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 by applying a 3DoF position tracking algorithm. PICO explains that it also has a built-in ‘Eye Protection Mode’ that has received German TUV Rheinland Low Blu-ray certification, which can protect the user’s eyes during long-term use.
