웨어러블 로봇 스타트업 위로보틱스(WIRobotics, 공동대표 이연백, 김용재)가 2025 국제전자제품박람회(CES)에서 2년 연속 로보틱스 분야 혁신상을 수상했다.
CES Innovation Award Winner for 2 consecutive years
The ultra-lightweight walking assistance wearable robot WIM has been recognized for its technological prowess for two consecutive years at the world's largest ICT exhibition.
Wearable robot startup WIRobotics (Co-CEOs Yeonbaek Lee and Yongjae Kim) recently announced that it won the Innovation Award in the Robotics category for the second consecutive year at the 2025 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
This is the second consecutive year that innovation has been recognized.
The CES Innovation Awards are presented to products with outstanding technology and innovation at the world's largest electronics and IT trade show, hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).
Werobotics also won innovation awards in the robotics, accessibility, and aging tech categories at CES 2024 last year.
Since its founding, We Innovate Robotics has been realizing its vision. The wearable robot Wim at its center is designed to be ultra-light at 1.6kg, providing portability and convenience, and even with a single motor, it helps support stable walking.
Wearing Wim can reduce metabolic energy by approximately 20%, and you can experience a weight reduction of 12 kg when walking on flat ground while carrying a 20 kg backpack.
When linked to a dedicated Wim app, it analyzes the user's walking data based on AI and big data and suggests areas for improvement. This feature is useful not only for seniors with muscle weakness issues, chronic patients with walking difficulties, but also for ordinary people who enjoy hiking and outdoor trekking.
Werobotics began B2B sales in February of this year, and began B2C sales in April, opening the 'one robot per person' era.
Currently, we operate the ‘Wim Walking Exercise Center,’ the first robot walking exercise center in Korea, and provide programs to improve physical strength and walking function while wearing Wim.
