Hanwha Systems (CEO Jae-il Son) achieved solid performance in the first quarter of 2025, with large-scale exports and mass production businesses in the defense industry achieving stable growth.
Hanwha Systems announced its performance for the first quarter of 2025 on the 28th.
According to this, sales on a consolidated financial statement basis were KRW 690.1 billion, up 26.8% year-on-year, and operating profit was KRW 58.2 billion, up 27.9% year-on-year.
Net income was 41 billion won, down 18.5% from the same period last year.
Large-scale export and mass production projects, such as Hanwha Systems' export of the K2 fire control system to Poland, export of the Cheongung-II multi-function radar (MFR) to the UAE and Saudi Arabia, and the second mass production of the next-generation military radio TMMR (Tactical Multiband Multirole Radio), led to stable growth.
This year, Hanwha Systems is expecting a solid performance trend through system development and mass production projects in the defense sector, including the initial mass production of the long-range surface-to-air guided missile system (L-SAM-II) multi-function radar (MFR), the long-range artillery interception system (LAMD) multi-function radar (MFR), and the active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, a key piece of equipment for the Korean fighter (KF-21).
ICT The sector also plans to build a smart manufacturing business, including the construction of an intelligent logistics system for Hanwha Aerospace’s Boeun MCS (modular cosmetics) plant in North Chungcheong Province.
