Keeping up with Kim Dong-wook's high-performance Cortex-M4 theory!

In the embedded microcontroller (MCU) market in recent years, MCUs equipped with the Cortex-M series core, an ARM core for MCUs newly introduced by ARM several years ago, have been gaining popularity. This appears to be because they offer competitive pricing and superior performance compared to existing products.

The Cortex-M series is an inheritance of the existing high-performance 32-bit RISC core ARM processor core family with some of its functions simplified. This offers the advantage of being able to develop products using the same core, ranging from ultra-low-cost MCU products to mid-range MCU products. This can enhance code compatibility and reduce the time and effort required for product development.

In a market where MCUs such as 8051, PIC, and AVR were once mainstream, the Cortex-M series released by ARM, which already holds a dominant position and role in the high-performance embedded processor market, is expected to significantly change the landscape of the MCU market going forward. In reflection of this reality, this seminar has been structured to provide understanding of the internal architecture of the Cortex-M4 core and direct practical assistance.

To better understand this course, knowledge of the C language and understanding of MCUs or basic computer architecture is necessary; however, even those lacking such knowledge should find this seminar of great help in improving their professional competency if they engage earnestly in the program.
