Part 1: This subject introduces the concepts and measurement solutions for Carrier Aggregation, Clustered SC-FDMA, and MIMO, which are core technologies of LTE-Advanced, and aims to examine newly added Emerging technologies. Based on 3GPP Standard Release 10, 11, and 12, you can confirm the measurement environment that differs from conventional LTE. Part 2: MHL is an abbreviation for Mobile High-Definition Link, a standard developed by Silicon Image, the originator of the HDMI specification, and uses a micro USB instead of a mini HDMI connector. The MHL standard can be understood as the existing HDMI standard with added data communication and charging functions. For example, if both a smartphone and a TV support MHL, a single HDMI cable enables video output, data output, and charging all at once. STMicroelectronics and ST-Ericsson developed and announced the 'MYDP (Mobility DisplayPort)' interface standard and submitted a proposal to VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) for the AV output standard of virtually all portable electronic devices. MYDP is based on DisplayPort, an industry-proven, open, and royalty-free VESA digital display interface standard; however, unlike DisplayPort, it is specifically designed for very small mobile devices and uses only a single micro connector for data exchange and AV output. This subject covers technology introduction and measurement solutions for MHL and MYDP, which are representative examples of such digital display interfaces.
