Low-Cost Smart Camera Technology and Application Technology Transfer Seminar

This technology was developed to address the challenge faced by vision systems in applications such as cleaning robots or plant factories, where the adoption of vision systems has been limited due to low system costs. As a solution capable of independently processing relatively simple vision algorithms such as user face tracking and region segmentation, various functions capable of processing vision algorithms have been developed and optimized for low-cost processors. Additionally, by combining two or more cameras, it is possible to generate 3D information similar to stereo cameras or configure solutions such as around-view, enabling utilization across diverse fields. Through the application of this technology, it is believed that the previous limitation of vision processing technology being implemented only in high-performance computers can be overcome, and the technology can be adopted in low-cost systems.
