Open Architecture Parallel Processing Vision Solution for Autonomous Vehicles
Introduction of Vision Solution Based on Open Development Environment
In response to recent demands for lightweight vision and ADAS systems, we introduce Freescale's solution to support rapid design resolution. We will provide solutions based on reusability, scalability, tools and software, and open development environment—fundamental requirements of the automotive industry—and this product supports an ecosystem matching these requirements.
The characteristics of Freescale's vision and ADAS system are as follows:
1. Open Scalable, Horizontal Solution
(1) Architecture homogenized for front, surround and data fusion
(2) Scalable family members cost reduced for rear and peripheral view apps
2. Open Highly Integrated Vision IP
(1) Removing need for additional costly components
(2) FPGA (detection), ASIC (ISP), Application processor (GPU), safety MCU (ISO 26262)
3. Open 360° Ecosystem
(1) OS > Libraries > Firmware > Algorithms > Applications .... all optimised to deliver a safe, secure, open development environment
