In the past, during training and practice sessions, we performed many tasks involving layout, routing, and component placement, and these remain important matters even today. Gerber data is likewise a critical element; however, since Gerber data is generally a standardized and compressed file format worldwide, there are cases where it does not receive adequate attention. In this lecture, we will address various format issues that arise when generating Gerber data, and discuss what output conditions are necessary when Gerber files are generated in order to produce high-quality boards.
