USB3.1 / Type-C / Power Delivery Testing Tasks and Solutions

Recently, the USB Type-C connector has become the most notable industry standard applied not only to USB but also to displays and other technologies. Through this connector, high-speed data transfer between devices is enabled, and power transmission of up to 100W is possible with the same cable, which will be applied to future technologies such as USB, DisplayPort, Thunderbolt, and MHL. In this session, we will examine the USB Type-C connector and the USB Power Delivery technology based on it, and introduce Keysight's USB Type-C test fixture and USB PD measurement solutions that support these. Additionally, we will discuss the test challenges in the USB 3.1 standard, which supports high transmission speeds of up to 10Gbps, and introduce Keysight solutions to address them.
