In our first IoT Business Talk session, we reviewed an overview of the Internet of Things business and examined why businesses are struggling in this area. Through case examples, we discussed a broad approach to addressing these challenges by advancing existing services. Therefore, this time, I would like to present methodologies for implementing IoT-based businesses in a more concrete manner by dividing them into several types. From a Profit = Revenue - Cost perspective, methodologies can be divided into approaches for increasing revenue and approaches for reducing costs. For revenue increase, I would like to introduce methods for advancing products and methods for linking with services. For cost reduction, we can discuss three approaches, including streamlining production and delivery lines. Among these, I believe the method of increasing revenue through service linkage is the most promising, and there appear to be approximately three such approaches. I hope many people will participate in this session as well so we can discuss these topics together. Rather than information sharing from me alone, it would be beneficial if we could discover IoT business methods through mutual communication with me and communication among participants.
