Korean NI introduces "New Technology Sweeping the Steel Industry through IoT System Construction for Machine Condition Monitoring and Diagnostics." This year, due to oversupply from Chinese steel companies, steel manufacturers worldwide are facing difficulties, and capital investment is declining. This is a critical period where producing high-quality steel plates is essential to surviving fierce competition. At this juncture where steel companies are focusing all their efforts on securing competitiveness, NI presents case studies of IoT system construction for machine condition monitoring and diagnostics utilizing CompactRIO as the solution. The seminar will showcase a Chinese steel corporation that successfully reduced annual downtime by 75% through the implementation of a predictive maintenance system for production equipment; a case of early diagnosis of fatigue fracture in blast furnace refractory; a roll gap control device development case achieving precise control through Auto Gauge Control; a 32-channel high-speed computing system development case for Roll Checker and shape-meter with zero inter-channel delay; and how domestic localization is being achieved for continuous casting mold vibration inspection systems that previously relied entirely on foreign imports through innovative technologies.
