OrCad Techniques Required for Hardware Engineers I

OrCAD is a widely used universal tool among many engineers. Typically, when working with OrCAD, the work does not end with drawing the schematic; rather, there is a subsequent process of transitioning to layout. Problems arise when this transition process to layout is not considered during the schematic design work. While OrCAD has undergone version upgrades from the 9.x and 10.x versions up to version 16, there are still users working with older versions. We will present the reasons why some cannot use newer versions and provide solutions. Since OrCAD is widely used in practical applications and offers convenient usability, there will be no significant burden. In the future, when designing PCB layouts, there are many aspects that are not considered. In practical work, there are cases where engineers create schematics with OrCAD's inherent properties but perform work as if merely connecting lines without fully understanding the content. We will demonstrate solutions and remedies for such issues and errors. 1. OrCAD Environment - Resolution method for OrCAD Capture slow startup phenomenon - OrCAD (*.dsn) File double-click execution error resolution method - Configuration method for automatic Ref.Des assignment when adding Library 2. OrCAD Library - Library authoring method for dividing Gate or Symbol into multiple sections - Pin number handling when copying Library Symbol
