Talk Live (Meeting with Author) - Internet of Things DIY Starting with NodeMCU

In this webinar, we are joined by Kim Hak-yong, Director of the IoT Security Research Center and author of the recently published book 'Getting Started with IoT DIY using NodeMCU'. We will introduce simple demonstrations, NodeMCU usage methods, and practical applications. Anyone interested in IoT is welcome to register! Many developers implement IoT-based prototypes using development boards such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi. However, Arduino users often encounter significant difficulties in implementing network functionality. To utilize networking capabilities, you need to use a separate communication module, install related libraries, and perform necessary configuration and coding tasks. In contrast, NodeMCU comes with a built-in Wi-Fi module by default, making it easy for beginners to create IoT devices with networking capabilities. In this webinar, we will briefly introduce NodeMCU and its development environment, and then demonstrate 3-4 examples featured in the book while explaining how to use and apply NodeMCU. Using example code, we will implement smart plugs and fine dust sensor devices, and introduce usage methods for services and applications that can be used with NodeMCU, such as ThingSpeak, Blynk, and Fritzing. Additionally, we will explore industrial products and application cases.
