Part1. Basic Theory Lecture for ARM Cortex-M0 Development
This webinar is a technical seminar sponsored by Mouser.
Understanding ARM Cortex-M0 Microcontrollers
The scope and usage of microcontrollers continue to expand across Consumer Electronics, Automotive, Industrial Automation, and the emerging Internet of Things.
This lecture aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of MCUs, which are traditional Embedded System Solutions referred to as Deeply Embedded Systems.
Representative MCUs include Intel's legacy 8051 series, Atmel's AVR, Hitachi Super H8, ARM's 32-bit Cortex-M Core Processor, and Microchip's PIC series.
ARM is already well recognized as a company that exclusively supplies low-cost, low-power-consumption mobile RISC processors with (relatively) high performance.
The characteristics and advantages of these ARM processors align with the future MCU market demands centered on IoT and energy efficiency, currently leading the MCU market.
Accordingly, this webinar will examine the Cortex-M0 Core Architecture, which represents the entry-level of the Cortex-M Core Processor family, focusing on performance and software compatibility including CMSIS. We will also explain Memory Map, registers, operation modes, and major instruction sets. Additionally, by covering Cortex-M0 Exception and NVIC Interrupt, we will provide a concrete approach to understanding the Cortex-M0.
[Webinar Main Topics]
1. Embedded Systems & MCU (Microcontroller)
2. Cortex-M0 Introduction (History, Performance, Software Compatibility including CMSIS)
3. Memory Map
4. Registers/Operation Modes & Major Instruction Sets
5. Cortex-M0 Exception & (NVIC) Interrupt
