3D imaging technology appears poised to flourish earlier in portable terminals such as smartphones than in TVs. TV manufacturers that announced the dawn of the 3DTV era at the CES 2010 electronics exhibition held in Las Vegas in early this year face challenges in establishing a 3DTV ecosystem due to the lack of 3D content and difficulties in developing 3D displays viewable without glasses.
